Protecting the environment and the people that use our products is of supreme importance to Gilchrist & Soames.

Safeguarding our delicate ecology is deeply rooted in our business philosophy. We pursue eco-friendly practices in all aspects of product creation, from ingredients and packaging to sourcing and manufacture. Our concern follows the product even in disposal. As a member of Green Dot, we are aligned with an organization that promotes efficient and environmentally sound recycling and waste management solutions in North America and Europe.

Cruelty-Free Policy

We are committed to cruelty-free development and manufacturing. Our products are never tested on animals.

Packaging

Gilchrist & Soames uses a variety of packaging resins that are highly recyclable including PET, HDPE and LDPE. We are also actively engaged in recycling efforts to lessen our impact on the environment. Bottles, cartons and labels are made from the most readily available recyclable materials. Our bottle labels are completely compatible with recyclable grind applications and label waste is properly disposed of by maintaining compliance to the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. All waste papers and boards are bundled and recycled to be re-sold to recycling facilities. As we can all do more, Gilchrist & Soames actively researches and pursues new materials and technologies to make our packaging as recyclable/reusable as possible.

Formulations

The Gilchrist & Soames branded house collections are manufactured in the USA. The raw materials used in these products are sourced in the United States or EU, with the exception of extracts which are responsibly sourced from the specific regions of the world in which they grow. Our partners comply with stringent government regulations, are socially responsible in their business practices and ensure that the ecosystems in which they harvest are not negatively impacted.

Our branded formulations feature food-grade, naturally derived USP glycerin; natural conditioning agents derived from honey and the Brassica plant; and soybean and cottonseed oil, instead of petrochemicals.

Some things you will never find in our Gilchrist & Soames house collections include:

• No phthalates
• No formaldehyde
• No petrol-derived ingredients
• No mineral oil
• No DMDM hydantoin
• No urea
• No DEA
• No TEA
• No propylene glycol

Gilchrist & Soames also employs an advanced traceability system that allows us to document all ingredients and ensure quality and safety through the entire supply chain.
