Our Mission

Gilchrist & Soames is a sophisticated purveyor of fine English toiletries, providing luxury hotels and resorts with innovative and comprehensive bathroom amenity solutions. We distinguish ourselves through distinctively created product and signature service, thereby assisting our clients in providing a superior guest experience.

We are the only branded toiletries company dedicated to the luxury hotel market. Our fine toiletries, property-wide solutions, and emphasis on exacting customer service can be found throughout the world’s finest hotels, exclusive resorts, and distinguished spas, inns and bed & breakfasts.

Our Heritage

Our heritage is steeped in the rich and established tradition of fine English toiletries. Founded in 1975 in London, England, Gilchrist & Soames was acquired and developed by Potter & Moore, the oldest operating toiletry company in the world dating back to the 18th century. The company was moved to the United States in 1989, and then acquired and moved to Indianapolis by E&A Industries. We expanded our expertise into spa-oriented products by acquiring Essentiel Elements in 2002. Most recently, we were acquired by Swander Pace Capital in October 2007. Today, Gilchrist & Soames is recognised as the premium brand within the luxury hotels marketplace. Despite our growth, we have never forgotten that we pursue a traditional craft, and our passion for excellence is evident in every product we create.
